Beautiful pair of iconic Uchiwa III wall lamps, designed by Ingo Maurer for M-Design, Germany, in 1973.

Inspired by traditional Japanese Uchiwa fans, the lamps feature their characteristic sculptural construction made of bamboo and paper. The natural materials create a beautifully warm and diffused light while giving the lamps their distinctive organic appearance.

Both lamps are preserved in exceptionally good original vintage condition*, showing only very few age-related signs of use. The delicate paper and bamboo structures have been remarkably well preserved.

The Uchiwa III is one of Ingo Maurer’s most recognizable designs of the 1970s, combining Japanese inspiration, natural materials and sculptural lighting in a truly timeless piece.
